Frequently Asked Questions

Just got a job at ANZ Stadium or looking to apply for one? Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about working at the Stadium...

Are there parking privileges for staff?
Staff are able to book parking at P5 carpark at a subsidised rate of $5.

Is my uniform supplied?
Some uniform items are supplied by the Stadium, such as: polo shirt, winter jacket, hat/cap, bumbag. Deposits are taken for these items and returned upon termination of employment providing all items are returned and in good condition.

Do casual event staff work every event?
Casual Customer Service Attendants are always required at events, however the number of staff required varies according to the expected crowd attendance. For example, a club level Rugby League game would call for less staff than the Bledisloe Cup.

How long are the shifts?
Shifts vary in length, once again depending on the nature of the event and the event plan. The minimum shift length is 3 hours.

Would I have someone supervising me?
Indeed you would. We have a team of exceptional Supervisors on our Customer Service team, some of whom have been working at the Stadium since it's opening in February 1999. They know their stuff and are always there to provide you with support in your duties.

How do I get paid and how often?
Payroll is completed fortnightly, the pay period ends on a Sunday and funds are electronically deposited into your nominated bank account.

How do I get my roster?
At the beginning of the year roster call in days are nominated. They are usually a Thursday and approximately 10 - 14 days prior to the event. This is not always the case therefore it is important that you refer to the Call-In Calendar provided by HR.

Staff call-in on the nominated day between the hours of 7am and 7pm. Shifts not collected in this timeframe, without prior consent, are 'dumped' and reassigned to staff on the standby list.

Will I always work in the same position?
No. For us to provide an effective service we need our staff to have the ability to work in almost any area of the venue. Staff are randomly rotated through most positions.

How do I change from the Silver to the Gold team and vice versa?
Staff who have been employed at ANZ Stadium for a long time are Gold Team members unless they have requested otherwise or have undergone disciplinary counselling. The Gold Team are exclusively used for events with expected crowds of 40,000 or less whilst figures above this require the Gold and Silver Teams.

Silver Team members may only become Gold Team members with experience and if staff numbers in the Gold Team have become depleted.
