State of Origin Game I - Blues v Maroons

It’s one of sport’s biggest rivalries and in 2013, State of Origin returns to the spiritual home of the NSW Blues - ANZ Stadium - for two cracking games.
Rookie Blues coach Laurie Daley will look to start the series on a winning note at ANZ Stadium Wednesday 5 June, with Queensland having won the last four Origin openers.
NSW Supporters Group will again be out in force turning ANZ Stadium into a blue cauldron as NSW look to prevent an eighth consecutive Queensland series win.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Fans are urged to leave the car at home and take advantage of the additional and direct public transport services available for the event.
All tickets to State of Origin I at ANZ Stadium include entry and return travel on CityRail services, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses and regular Sydney Buses (STA) services, Liverpool to Parramatta T-way buses and Sydney Ferries services.
TRAINS
Direct train services are running from:
• Central to Sydney Olympic Park – every 10 minutes from 5.43pm to 9pm
• Blacktown to Sydney Olympic Park - every 8 minutes from 5.39pm to 9pm
Fans travelling from other locations or outside of these times should travel to Lidcombe Station and change for a connecting service to Olympic Park Station, operating every 10 minutes.
Selected Blue Mountains Line services will make an additional stop at Lidcombe.
Regular return services to these locations are running until 12.30am.
Extra services are running after the match on the South Line, Newcastle and Central Coast Line and South Coast Line.

BUSES
Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Bus services are operating on all 12 major event bus routes across Sydney. Services will commence between approximately 4.15pm and 5.30pm, depending on the route.
Bus services will depart Olympic Park after the game, with the last service departing at 11pm.
Sydney Buses will also operate to a normal weekday timetable. Route 525 operates between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park. Please check timetable for last trips departing Sydney Olympic Park.

FERRIES
Sydney Ferries services are running to a regular weekday timetable.
ANZ Stadium is approximately a 40 minute walk from Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 Bus to the Stadium until 7.28pm.
Due to the low tides in the upper Parramatta River, some ferry services will be replaced by buses between Parramatta and Rydalmere. Click here to find out more.

PARKING
Anyone who has not pre-booked parking is encouraged to leave the car at home and take advantage of the increased public transport services.

Additional information
Why not make an evening of it by arriving early and enjoying some of the cafes, bars and restaurants around Sydney Olympic Park.
Jacaranda Square adjacent to Olympic Park Station will have entertainment programmed for the night.
There will be a number of cafes and restaurants - within a couple of minutes walk of Jacaranda Square, along with more en route up Dawn Fraser Avenue and Murray Rose Avenue to ANZ Stadium - open before and after the game.
