Toyota AFL Premiership Round 1 - Giants v Swans
Saturday 30 March 2013

All eyes are on Easter Saturday (30 March) when the GWS Giants meet big brother the Sydney Swans in the third instalment of the Battle of the Bridge at ANZ Stadium.

The Giants had the youngest roster in the 2012 competition but after a year of taking small steps under the tutelage of master coach Kevin Sheedy, they will be out to make giant leaps in 2013.

What better way to test their credentials than against cross-town rivals and reigning premiers, the Swans.

A first win in a Sydney Derby could be just what the Giants need to kick-start a breakout season in 2013.

  1. 12.55pm - Gates open
  2. 1pm - Preliminary game
  3. 4.40pm - GWS Giants v Sydney Swans
