Arabic Music Fest
Saturday 02 February 2013

He’s the best-selling Middle Eastern recording artist of all time and has been labelled the Father of Mediterranean music, and now the legendary Amr Diab will feature in Australia's biggest Arabic Music Fest at ANZ Stadium on Saturday 2 February 2013.

The Arabic Music Fest will be a colourful celebration of Sydney’s multicultural community and comes on the back of the country's first-ever K-Pop Music Fest which took over the Stadium in November, 2011.

With an illustrious 20-year career, headline act Diab reigns as the contemporary face of Egyptian el-geel pop music and continues to take top billing at music festivals around the globe, selling out performances to over 80,000 fans.

The Egyptian heartthrob has also taken the western world by storm, appearing in Pepsi commercials alongside the likes of American pop icons j-Lo and Beyonce and has been awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist three times.

Arabic Music Festival promoters have scheduled a series of support acts encompassing the broad range of music and dance celebrated throughout the Middle Eastern community.

The festival cements ANZ Stadium’s position as one of the country’s most dynamic venues and demonstrates it’s excellence in bringing culturally diverse events to the city of Sydney.
