MORE than 90,000 people will descend on Sydney Olympic Park this Saturday for a series of events, including the Australia v New Zealand Rugby Double-Header at ANZ Stadium.

Sydney’s Olympic precinct was built to host large crowds and all is in readiness for a special day, with additional public transport services operating. Fans are strongly encouraged to use public transport and to arrive early.

For the first time on Australian soil, the Buildcorp Wallaroos and Qantas Wallabies will share the billing in a historic fixture at ANZ Stadium.

The Wallaroos will take on the Black Ferns before the Wallabies face the All Blacks.

Olympic Park events Saturday 18 August

  • Innovation Games – Cathy Freeman Park. Approx attendance: 10,000;
  • GWS Giants v Sydney Swans – Spotless Stadium. Approx attendance: 23,000;
  • AUS v NZL Double-Header – ANZ Stadium. Approx attendance: 65,000.

Bledisloe Cup event schedule

  • 3:30pm: Pre-Bledisloe Cup celebration kicks off outside ANZ Stadium;
  • 4:45pm: Gates Open;
  • 5:15pm: Kick-off – Buildcorp Wallaroos v Black Ferns;
  • 7:45pm: Kick-off – Qantas Wallabies v All Blacks;
  • 9:30pm: Fulltime – Wallabies v All Blacks.

Olympic Park schedule

  • 11am: Innovation Games commence;
  • 1pm: Gates Open – Spotless Stadium;
  • 4:35pm: First Bounce – Giants v Swans;
  • 4:45pm: Gates Open – ANZ Stadium;
  • 5:15pm: Kick-off – Wallaroos v Black Ferns;
  • 5:30pm: Innovation Games event concludes;
  • 7:10pm: Fulltime Giants v Swans;
  • 7:45pm: Kick-off – Wallabies v All Blacks;
  • 9:30pm: Fulltime – Wallabies v All Blacks.

Traffic & Transport

With a high volume of patrons entering Olympic Park, fans are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the additional and direct transport services in operation.

All tickets to the Bledisloe Cup Double-Header at ANZ Stadium include return travel on Sydney Trains, regular and Major Event Bus services, Ferry and Light Rail services.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run from 3:05pm (check individual routes).

Express trains from Central to Olympic Park will begin at 2pm and return trains will run from 6.30pm.

Fans are encouraged not to drive to Olympic Park unless they have pre-booked parking.

Precinct Celebration

From 3:30pm fans are invited to enjoy a number of activations and entertainment at Olympic Park:

  • A bar, marquee and activity area in Cathy Freeman Park;
  • “Boulevard Bites” food stalls on Olympic Boulevard;
  • A host of sponsor activations, family activities and merchandise outside Gate C of ANZ Stadium.
