FROM match day to every day . . . ANZ Stadium’s social media is with you on every step of your event journey and now, with help from you, the fans, the Stadium team has been recognised for its use of social media.

As part of the 2018 Leisure Industry Communications and Marketing Awards, ANZ Stadium received the Social Media Award for “the best use of social media across all sectors of the leisure industry in Australia and New Zealand”.

Australasian Leisure Management Publisher Nigel Benton stated: “ANZ Stadium’s multi-faceted approach to social media as a key part of its communications and marketing activities, and the way in which it demonstrates this, serves as a best-practice example that is worthy of recognition.”

Using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, the ANZ Stadium Social Media Program takes a whole-of-business approach to deliver important communications to meet different objectives.

Marketing is essential in the initial strategizing process. A plan is built around the core communications objectives of our business – establishing real-time communication with our customers, delivering key information, and creating awareness around our events and our Membership and Official Hospitality programs.

Our Event Operations team runs our events on match day and looks to social media to deliver the vital match-day information that improves the customer experience. Our sales department uses social media to nurture leads and close sales. Our HR department regularly posts – and fills – job openings via social.

Skilled Media & Communications professionals then engage our audience daily. They are on the tools every day delivering sharp, engaging content.

From the time you start thinking about the event on any given day, while you are in and around the Stadium, and getting home post-event, the Stadium team is engaging with you and delivering tips and key information to make your customer experience as good as possible.

It’s fun and upbeat most of the time, but there is a serious side to the messaging also as crowds of up to 83,500 pack into ANZ Stadium.

Of course, without the fans there are no events and without you there is no ANZ Stadium social media. So from everyone at the Stadium, thank you for sharing in our biggest moments and engaging with us on social . . . here’s to more special memories ahead!
