THE Socceroos return to ANZ Stadium for the first time since their AFC Asian Cup triumph to face Euro 2004 champions Greece on 4 June.

Both nations will be eager to build some momentum heading into the third round of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

IMPORTANT WET-WEATHER UPDATE

RUG up and come support the Socceroos and Ethniki Omada at ANZ Stadium tonight! Please be advised of the following wet-weather information:

  • FFA advises that the event will proceed as scheduled, subject to the normal pre-game pitch inspection by the referee.
  • The ANZ Stadium pitch drains particularly well and there is no surface water at this time. FFA and ANZ Stadium official grounds team are closely monitoring conditions.
  • In the 24 hours to 9am today, 65mm of rain had fallen in Sydney city and only 24mm at Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Supporters are encouraged to prepare for wintery conditions and bring wet-weather protective gear.
  • Ponchos will be available outside the Stadium and at merchandise outlets inside the venue.
  • Supporters can bring umbrellas to the Stadium but, for the safety of others, are not permitted to open these once in their seats.

  • Come inside early to catch the Schools and Clubs March Past and team warm ups from 6:35pm

TRAINS

Getting to the Stadium

  • Additional Sydney Trains services are running between Central and Olympic Park every 15 minutes between 5.30pm and 10:00pm stopping at Redfern and Strathfield.
  • Alternatively, catch a train to Lidcombe Station and then head to the Sprint Platform for a direct service to Olympic Park running every 10 minutes until 1:00am.

Getting home from the Stadium

  • Olympic Park to Central services running every 5 minutes until 00:30am, stopping at Strathfield and Redfern. 

Additional Services

  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: services to Hamilton will leaves Central at 10.15pm and 11.15pm, stopping at Strathfield, Eastwood, Epping, Hornsby, Berowra, Cowan, Hawkesbury River, Woy Woy then all stations to Hamilton.

Please be advised that there will be NO Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses in operation for this event.

Sydney Buses services are running to a regular Saturday timetable.

  • Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Route 526 runs from the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf to Olympic Park.

CAR

With a large crowd expected for this highly anticipated event, fans who have not pre-booked parking are encouraged to leave the car at home and take advantage of the additional and direct rail services in operation and included in event tickets.

For those who plan to drive, pre-booking your parking space is highly recommended. You can pre-book parking via:

Fans who do plan to drive should allow plenty of time to get to Sydney Olympic Park, find a parking space and get to their seat for the game.

TRAFFIC

It is strongly advised that you take advantage of return train travel (included in your tickets) to the game, but if you decide to drive, the below routes are advised and can help minimise traffic issues:

  • From the NORTH: Through Top Ryde, take Victoria Rd and then Silverwater Rd and Holker Street to Sydney Olympic Park;
  • From the SOUTH: Turn onto Parramatta Road then Hill Road to Sydney Olympic Park;
  • From the EAST: Take Parramatta Road then Birnie Avenue or Hill Road. If you are driving along Victoria Road, consider taking Silverwater Road then Holker Street.
  • From the WEST: Turn onto Silverwater Road then Holker Street or turn onto Hill Road, and then to Sydney Olympic Park.
